The Ruger-57 uses a single-action, internal-hammer, delayed-blowback system tuned for the 5.7x28mm cartridge. A CNC-machined aluminum fire-control housing anchors the internals, contributing to consistent trigger geometry and a positive reset.
The alloy-steel barrel measures 4.94 inches and wears a black nitride finish with a 1:9 RH twist. The slide has a black oxide finish, front and rear serrations, and a top lightening window. An integrated accessory rail is molded into the frame.
Sighting equipment includes a fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable rear (windage and elevation). Controls are shooter-friendly, with an ambidextrous manual safety and a reversible magazine release. The bladed safety trigger shoe supports the single-action system’s clean break and reset.
