The K6xs uses a T6 aluminum alloy frame finished in KimPro silver to keep weight to 15.9 oz unloaded while maintaining strength. Its matte stainless steel cylinder features recessed chambers, and overall dimensions come in at 6.8 inches long, 5.5 inches high, and 1.4 inches wide at the cylinder.
The 2-inch stainless barrel employs 5R rifling and a full underlug with a weight-saving slot. Chambering is .38 Special with a +P rating, and the cylinder holds six rounds. The action is double-action only with an internal (shrouded) hammer.
Sighting equipment consists of fixed iron sights: an integral front blade with an orange dot and a trench rear machined into the topstrap. The factory grip is a one-piece overmolded black rubber unit with finger grooves, and the revolver accepts K6s-pattern grips and is holster-compatible with K6s.
