The 990 AfterShock pairs a short 14.75 in barrel with a semi-automatic, gas-operated system that is contained within the forend for a streamlined profile. Internal components receive a corrosion-resistant coating, and the gun is finished in matte black. It is chambered for both 2.75 in and 3 in shells and uses a fixed Cyl Bore.
Controls are enlarged for sure handling, including the tang safety, a bolt-release paddle, and an enlarged, knurled charging handle. The black synthetic birds-head AfterShock grip includes a sling loop, and the black synthetic forend adds a secure hand strap for retention.
A receiver-top Picatinny rail provides mounting space on the action. Up front, an extended magazine assembly integrates a front accessory adaptor block with slotted cutouts bearing the Mossberg M logo and M-LOK-pattern slots per factory literature. Feeding details include a bright anodized follower and an enlarged, beveled loading port.
