- 1-inch rings for 16 mm dovetail (installed on receiver)
The controlled-round-feed micro-Mauser small action uses a full-length claw extractor and a fixed ejector for reliable feeding and extraction. A two-position safety and a user-adjustable single-set trigger (SST) round out the action’s features.
The 18.5 in steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with a 1:9 twist and a recessed crown. It is unthreaded. A hooded fiber-optic front bead is mounted on a ramp.
The steel receiver wears a blued finish and features an integral 16 mm dovetail for direct-fit rings. One-inch rings are installed. There are two unoccupied screw holes on the top of the barrel rearward of the forend.
The oil-finished walnut stock has a hogsback comb and cheekpiece, cut checkering, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. A detachable single-column box magazine provides a 5+1 capacity in .223 Rem.
Proofs include Czech C.I.P. markings with the Czech lion and an '18' year code on the right barrel shank. The import mark reads "CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS." This carbine was made in the Czech Republic, and it represents the discontinued CZ 527 series.
