Manufactured by Remington in 1943 during WWII, this M1903A3 carries hallmark U.S. military markings. The receiver is marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3," the barrel is stamped RA with the flaming bomb and 8-43 date, and the stock bears the boxed RA over FJA acceptance cartouche with a circled P proof. These markings align with U.S.
service inspection and production practices of the period.
The rifle is configured in .30-06 with a 24-inch barrel and a parkerized finish. It uses an internal 5-round magazine fed by stripper clips and has a turn-down bolt handle. The trigger guard and floorplate assembly are the stamped pattern, and the front band includes a bayonet lug.
Furniture is the straight S-type, full-length walnut stock with sling swivels and an upper handguard. The buttplate is the checkered steel pattern with a trapdoor. This configuration reflects the standardized wartime features associated with the A3 variant.
Sighting equipment is the M1903A3 receiver-mounted peep sight with windage and elevation drums, paired with a front blade protected by sturdy ears. This sighting setup provides a longer sight radius and fine adjustment capability expected of the A3 pattern.
Included with the rifle are a U.S.-marked long-blade M1905-type bayonet and a leather M1907-pattern service sling. The bayonet is shown mounted; the sling is included but not installed. Both complement the rifle’s WWII-era configuration and use.
