The Gallant follows the proven Galil pattern and is assembled in the USA using surplus Israeli components paired with a new U.S.-made milled steel receiver and new 18 in barrel. This build approach delivers authentic features while meeting 922(r) requirements. The receiver wears a matte protective finish and carries a factory-applied crest/logo with Hebrew text on the left side, along with Hebrew selector legends.
Its operating system is semi-automatic with a long-stroke gas piston. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector and a right-side reciprocating charging handle with a knurled knob. A spring-loaded firing pin update is incorporated.
Sighting equipment consists of a hooded front post on the gas block and a protected dual-aperture rear sight mounted on the top cover. The gas block/front-sight base includes a bayonet lug and a bipod mounting boss, and the gas tube is vented. The lower handguard is black polymer with ribs and a metal heat shield.
The 18 in barrel features a threaded muzzle capped with a flash hider. The steel stock folds to the right and uses a ribbed buttplate; length of pull is 13.5 in. The rifle uses Galil-pattern rock-and-lock magazines and has a stated capacity of 30+1. Six 30-round steel magazines are included.
