What’s Included
- Marlin 336C .35 Rem lever-action rifle
The carbine configuration pairs a 20 inch round steel barrel with two barrel bands and a full-length tubular magazine. The receiver is steel, blued, and side-ejecting, with a right-side loading gate for steady, practical use. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped and fitted with plug screws.
The barrel carries Marlin's Micro-Groove rollmark and rifling, delivering the model's distinctive bore profile in this .35 Rem chambering. The setup remains clean and functional, with intact rifling and a well-maintained bore.
Sighting equipment is all iron: a ramped front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with elevator. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, offering a classic carbine fit.
Furniture is American walnut with a pistol-grip stock, white line spacer, and the Marlin bullseye in the stock toe. It retains the black Marlin hard buttplate. An oval metal presentation/nameplate has been inlaid into the belly of the buttstock near the wrist (non-factory addition). Slinging provisions include a stud in the buttstock and a clamp-on forward swivel attached directly to the magazine tube between the barrel bands.
This 1981 rifle reflects the pre-1984 configuration with no cross-bolt safety, using a half-cock notch for added security. It is a straightforward, U.S.-made 336C that highlights the model's core features in .35 Rem.
