Built on the 1911 platform and running single-action, this Loaded-series pistol includes a thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. A titanium firing pin with an extra-power spring is part of the factory safety suite. The skeletonized commander-style hammer and lightweight 3-hole trigger with an overtravel screw complete the familiar Loaded trigger/hammer setup.
Slide features include front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port. Sights are fixed 3-dot: a dovetailed front with a white dot and a low-mount rear with two dots. The 5 inch barrel has a hood marked "S.A. .45 AUTO."
A two-piece full-length guide rod that requires an Allen key is installed, reflecting a common Loaded-series configuration. Checkered hardwood grips with the Springfield Armory logo provide a classic, positive hold. Capacity is 8+1, and this pistol comes with one 8-round steel magazine.
