The MAX-9 Pro pairs a compact, 3.2 in barrel with a micro-size grip that accepts 10- and 12-round magazines, delivering a 12+1 capacity in a small footprint. The 1:10 RH twist barrel is alloy steel, and the action is striker-fired with a short-recoil, locked-breech system.
Its slide is through-hardened alloy steel with a black-oxide (blued) finish and ships with a Ruger-logo cover plate over the optics cut. The cut follows the Shield RMSc/JPoint footprint. Sights consist of a dovetailed tritium fiber-optic green front and a black, drift-adjustable rear notch.
The frame is glass-filled nylon (polymer) over an aluminum fire-control chassis, finished in black with textured polymer grips bearing the Ruger phoenix logo. Safety features include a trigger safety, striker blocker, and a loaded-chamber viewport. The trigger has an integral blade safety.
