Century Arms import marks are present on the receiver, and the carbine features a round receiver, straight bolt handle, and blued finish with the bolt left in the white.

Built at Jianshe Arsenal and marked with the triangle 21 code, this Type 53 is a Chinese production Mosin–Nagant M44-pattern carbine. The barrel shank carries the "五三年式" model marking alongside a 1955.3 date, and the right receiver wall bears Century Arms import markings. Both the original factory serial and an import-applied serial are present.
The action uses a round receiver and straight bolt handle, with the bolt left in the white contrasting the blued barreled assembly. It has a 20.4 in barrel and an overall length of approximately 40 in. Feeding is via a fixed 5-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and latch.
The carbine retains its correct full-length hardwood stock with a separate handguard. Stock features include inletted sling slots, a grasping groove, and a dedicated bayonet channel. The length of pull measures 13.25 in.
