The Tavor X95 uses a robust, short-stroke gas-piston system in a compact bullpup layout. Its 16.5 in cold hammer forged barrel is threaded and capped with an A2-pattern birdcage flash hider, pairing durability with practical muzzle device compatibility. The 1:7 twist supports a wide range of 5.56 NATO projectile weights.
A full-length Picatinny top rail provides continuous mounting surface and houses rail-integrated flip-up backup sights. The ventilated polymer handguard includes a forward-left QD sling socket and an integral front hand stop for stable support-hand placement.
Controls are designed for efficient handling: a non-reciprocating, reversible charging handle (installed on the right), an ambidextrous safety selector, and a bolt-release paddle behind the magwell. The rifle feeds from STANAG-compatible detachable magazines and has a 30+1 capacity.
The polymer receiver and furniture are finished in black with a fixed butt and rubberized buttpad. Additional details include a right-side ejection port with a left-side cover and a serial number plate with a 2D matrix. Markings include "MADE IN ISRAEL" and "IWI US – Middletown, PA."
