The short-action .308 Win configuration uses a 20-inch 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling, a 1:10 RH twist, and 5/8-24 threads for brakes or other muzzle devices. The heavy-contour, cold hammer-forged tube wears a matte finish and is free-floated inside Ruger’s 15-inch KeyMod handguard for consistent performance.
A three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw promotes smooth cycling, while the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger lets the user fine-tune pull weight. An AR-style safety selector provides familiar controls, and the rifle comes with a factory one-piece 20-MOA receiver Picatinny rail for straightforward scope mounting.
The chassis combines a 4140 steel upper with an aluminum lower, paired with a folding stock that offers adjustable cheek height, adjustable length of pull, and an adjustable buttpad. A bag rider with a short Picatinny rail aids rear support on bags. The AR-pattern pistol grip with Ruger branding is easy to replace if the user prefers a different profile.
