Belgian FN production with barrel address markings for St. Louis, MO & Montreal, P.Q., this Light Twenty carries the factory-engraved receiver marked "Twenty" over "BROWNING" with surrounding scrollwork. The blued steel receiver and barrel are marked "MADE IN BELGIUM" and "SPECIAL STEEL – 20 GAUGE – SHELLS 2 3/4"." The 68Z serial format identifies it as a 1968 Light Twenty.
The 26 inch steel barrel includes a ventilated rib with a single front bead and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. While the barrel shows the "**" choke code (typically Modified), it gauges to Improved Cylinder using a drop-in gauge, and should be treated as a fixed IC choke. This configuration pairs well with the Light Twenty’s handling for upland and general field use.
The classic long-recoil Auto-5 system is paired with Browning’s tunable friction-ring setup to accommodate load variance. Controls include a cross-bolt safety and the magazine cut-off lever. Capacity is 5 rounds (4+1).
