This Browning Auto-5 Sweet Sixteen pairs the classic long-recoil Auto-5 design with Miroku-Japan build quality from 1990. It features a 26 inch Special Steel vent-rib barrel with a screw-in Invector choke and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. The polished blued receiver is factory scroll-engraved with cut panels, and the shotgun wears gloss-finished walnut furniture with cut checkering. An aftermarket green fiber-optic front bead is installed for a bright, easy-to-acquire sight picture.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: The metal shows scattered scratches and blemishes. There are small areas of pitting on the receiver finish. The buttplate has a small chip.

This Sweet Sixteen is a 1990 Miroku (Japan) production example of Browning’s iconic Auto-5, chambered in 16 Gauge with a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a 4+1 tubular magazine. It uses the proven long-recoil Auto-5 operating system with right-side ejection and includes the magazine cutoff lever on the left side of the receiver.
The 26 inch Special Steel barrel features a vent rib with a matted top for glare reduction and a screw-in Invector choke. The receiver top has a serrated sighting plane. A cylindrical charging handle provides a positive grasp.
Aesthetics and materials are classic Browning: a polished blued steel receiver with factory cut scroll engraving and a "BROWNING" panel on the left side, a gold-colored trigger, and a deep blued finish throughout. The stock and forend are gloss-finished walnut with cut checkering and a black hard buttplate. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
Sighting is via the vent rib and an aftermarket green fiber-optic front bead for a bright front reference. Markings include: "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q., MADE IN JAPAN," "BROWNING PATENTS," and "INVECTOR SPECIAL STEEL 16GA. SHELLS – 2 3/4" – 26".
