The CR6920 operates via a semi-automatic, direct impingement system on the AR-15 platform. Its carbine-length gas system pairs with a 16-inch M4-profile barrel that is threaded and fitted with an A2 flash suppressor.
Sighting is classic and practical: a fixed A2 front sight base with bayonet lug and sling swivel up front, matched to a Magpul MBUS polymer flip-up rear sight. The flat-top upper provides a T-marked Picatinny rail for mounting sighting solutions.
The upper receiver includes a forward assist and ejection port cover, and carries Colt’s "13629" CAGE code and a Keyhole forging mark. The lower is roll-marked "COLT DEFENSE HARTFORD, CONN., U.S.A." The CR serial prefix denotes Colt’s post-2020 carbine line within the CR6920 family.
Furniture is durable and purpose-built: a collapsible, multi-position M4-style stock, A2 pistol grip, and carbine-length two-piece ribbed polymer handguards. Receivers are aluminum with a uniform matte black finish, and controls include a manual safety.
Capacity is 30+1 with three 30-round polymer magazines included. The rifle is finished in matte black and is manufactured in the United States.
