Rossi Model 971 .357 Magnum Revolver, 4-Inch Stainless, DA/SA, Adjustable Sights, Interarms Import
This Interarms-marked Rossi Model 971 stands out as a late 1980s–1990s Brazilian-made, stainless steel .357 Magnum with a 4-inch heavy barrel and full underlug. It features adjustable sights with a pinned ramp front and red insert, a six-shot fluted cylinder, and a DA/SA action with an external hammer. What's Included
- Rossi Model 971 .357 Magnum revolver (4-inch, stainless)
The Model 971 is built on stainless steel throughout, including the frame, cylinder, and 4-inch heavy-profile barrel. The barrel carries a full-length underlug and ejector shroud, with longitudinal serrations along the top rib to reduce glare. The six-shot cylinder is fluted, and the ejector-rod tip is knurled for positive purchase.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable rear unit paired with a pinned, ramped front sight featuring a red insert. The action is double-action/single-action with an external hammer and a wide, checkered spur for confident cocking. A smooth-faced trigger and factory rubber finger-groove grips with Rossi medallions round out the controls and ergonomics.
This example bears the correct import and origin markings: MADE IN BRAZIL and INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VA. Assembly/yoke stampings are visible inside the crane window, consistent with factory practices of the era. It is the standard non-ported Model 971, not the VRC variant.
Chambered in .357 Magnum with a 6-round capacity, the revolver blends sturdy construction with practical sighting and handling features. The stainless finish and heavy underlug design contribute to a solid, well-balanced feel on the range.
