The MK22 uses a semi-automatic blowback action tailored to .22 LR. Its 16.5-inch steel barrel is capped with a birdcage flash hider, and the polymer receiver and frame keep weight down while maintaining durability for training use.
The stock is side-folding and provides two length-of-pull positions, 12.5 inches and 14.0 inches, adjusted via a push button. A sling point is integrated. Controls include an ambidextrous rotary safety with red "F" and white "S" indicators for clear status at a glance.
Sighting and mounting options are built in: a full-length top Picatinny rail carries flip-up front and rear sights, while the handguard includes a bottom Picatinny rail.
Origin and markings are well documented. It is made in Austria and marked "Made in Germany for ISSC," with German proof marks "DE," a two-letter code "BD," and the importer stamp "LSI, Reno, NV." The receiver also features multiple serial-number inspection windows.
