What’s Included
- Webley Mark I .455 Webley cutaway revolver
Manufactured in the early 1890s, this Mark I represents the early pattern of Webley’s .455 service revolver with the distinctive stirrup (winged) top latch. The self-extracting top-break design and six-shot cylinder reflect the configuration carried by British forces of the era.
As a cutaway, this revolver exposes the internal action for study and display. It is not intended for firing, but it retains the functional architecture that defines the model, including DA/SA operation and the exposed hammer with a knurled spur.
The 4-inch carbon-steel barrel has a tapered profile and raised rib, paired with sighting provisions appropriate to its cutaway configuration. Checkered hard-rubber (vulcanite) birdshead grips with a lanyard ring complete the period-correct configuration.
Construction is all carbon steel with an in-the-white/gray patina steel (cutaway) finish, with traces of blue remaining on the cylinder. It bears British proof and inspection marks and is explicitly marked Made in England; the topstrap shows a 12•02 Enfield re-inspection/rework stamp.
