This A. Uberti Model 1873 Short Rifle in .45 Colt is a made-in-Italy, Taylor's & Co.-imported reproduction with a 20 inch octagonal barrel and classic 1873 toggle-link action. It is Taylor Tuned with a short-stroke system, polished internals, a lightened hammer spring, a SliXsprings flat trigger set at 2 lbs, and a Pioneer Gun Works Speed front sight. The rifle shows very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

Built on the 1873-pattern toggle-link action, this Short Rifle features a 20 inch octagonal barrel and a full-length tubular magazine for a 10+1 capacity in .45 Colt. It retains the correct top-mounted sliding dust cover, right-side loading gate, removable side plates, a brass carrier/lifter, and a steel forend cap.
The rifle is Taylor Tuned for fast, smooth cycling: a short-stroke action with polished internals and a lightened hammer spring. The SliXsprings flat trigger is set at a 2 lb pull. A Pioneer Gun Works Speed front sight is installed for a precise, easily acquired front reference.
Materials and finishes are faithful and durable, with a steel receiver, lever, and hammer in a color case-hardened finish, paired with a blued barrel and magazine tube. Furniture includes a straight-grip walnut stock and matching walnut forend, with a 13.5 inch length of pull.
Iron sights consist of a semi-buckhorn rear with elevation ramp and the upgraded PGW Speed front sight. Markings include "Taylor's & Co., Winchester, VA - A. Uberti Italy," and the rifle is a made-in-Italy reproduction imported by Taylor's & Co.
