The X95 bullpup layout delivers a short overall length of 26.125 in (IWI specs) while maintaining a 16.5 in barrel. Controls include an ambidextrous safety and a non-reciprocating right-side charging handle. It ejects to the right and has the left-side ejection-port cover installed. The rifle accepts STANAG/AR-15 pattern magazines and has a listed capacity of 30+1.
The 16.5 in CrMoV barrel is cold hammer forged and chrome lined, marked 5.56 NATO 1:7. A "P" stamp is present near the muzzle, and the barrel is stamped "MADE IN ISRAEL." The threaded muzzle wears a non-factory three-port brake that is installed and ready to use.
This rifle features a polymer receiver/frame and a polymer forend with elongated ventilation slots and a continuous 6 o'clock Picatinny rail. A small polymer hand stop is installed on the bottom rail. The installed Manticore extended aluminum top rail (marked 7155) adds lightening cuts and provides a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny surface.
Factory markings include IWI US Middletown, PA roll marks and the IWI logo on the receiver shell. IWI's listed weight is 7.95 lb, and length of pull is 14.5 in.
