The 597 action uses dual steel guide rails for the bolt within a semi-automatic blowback system, designed for consistent cycling in the .22 WMR chambering. It has right-side charging and right-side ejection, a polymer trigger guard/housing, and nickel-Teflon coated fire-control parts. A cross-bolt safety with a red indicator provides straightforward operation.
The alloy receiver has integral 3/8-inch scope grooves and is currently fitted with a clamp-on 3/8-inch dovetail-to-Picatinny/Weaver adapter rail. There are no iron sights, offering a clean top for mounting glass to suit your application.
