The Mafteah uses a recoil-operated system with the recoil spring concentric around the magazine tube, enabling its compact geometry and keeping weight to approximately 5 lb 11 oz. With an approximate overall length of 27.75", it remains maneuverable while retaining a full-length, vent-rib barrel and a magazine tube capped by a knurled end that terminates slightly short of the muzzle.
The 14.5" smoothbore barrel is made from 4140 steel and wears a vent rib with a single front bead for a clear sight picture. The chamber is cut for 3" shells, with a fixed tubular magazine holding 5+1 with 2.75" shells or 4+1 with 3" shells.
Controls are straightforward: right-side ejection, a right-side cylindrical charging handle, a bolt-release button, and a cross-bolt safety with a red fire indicator. The receiver top is drilled and tapped and ships with a screw-retained cover plate.
Durable polymer furniture includes a bird's-head grip and a polymer forend with a strap and M-LOK-pattern slots. The matte overall finish keeps glare low, and the magazine tube terminating slightly short of the muzzle provides a clean, balanced front end. "Mafteah" translates to "key" in Hebrew, reflecting the model's name origin.
