Its three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw provides generous scope clearance and fast cycling. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it uses AR-15/STANAG-pattern detachable magazines for a stated 10+1 capacity.
The 16-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged, free-floated, and finished in matte black alloy steel. It uses a 1:8 in right-hand twist to stabilize a broad range of 5.56/.223 projectiles. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 and fitted with a cylindrical multi-port brake to help manage recoil and muzzle movement.
