The KP-9 uses a stamped AK-pattern receiver with rivets and familiar AK ergonomics. Controls include a paddle-style magazine catch, a right-side charging handle, and a manual safety. Iron sights consist of an AK-type front post with protective ears and a rear leaf sight.
The 9.25-inch barrel is threaded 1/2x28 UNEF. The front sight base has no external 24x1.5 threads (smooth collar). A cylindrical multi-port brake/compensator is installed on the muzzle threads. This setup supports common 9mm muzzle accessories compatible with 1/2x28.
A Krebs Custom UFM M-LOK aluminum handguard is installed, providing M-LOK accessory mounting capability. The rail is marked with U.S. Patent 9,518,801, the M-LOK symbol, and CAGE 5P7G8.
The hinged, full-length Picatinny top cover offers a solid mounting interface along the receiver. A side-folding hinge interface block is present at the rear; no stock or brace is installed. The pistol is made in the USA and operates via a straight blowback, semi-automatic action.
Capacity is 30+1 with the included KP-9 pattern magazines. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling, aligning with the clean overall mechanical presentation of this example.
