This example is upgraded with a Streamlight TL-Racker forend that integrates a weapon light into a robust polymer handguard with a web strap for control. A GG&G rear sling plate is installed between the receiver and the bird’s-head grip, adding a convenient rear attachment point for carry options.
Built on Mossberg’s 590 operating system, it uses twin action bars, dual extractors, steel-to-steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator. The top-tang safety is intuitive and accessible, and the receiver top is drilled and tapped with three plug screws. Capacity is 4+1.
Materials and finish are set up for hard use: a steel barrel, an aluminum receiver with a matte black anodized finish, and a black synthetic bird’s-head (Raptor-style) grip. The matte black overall finish keeps glare down and complements the Shockwave’s practical design.
