The MPX uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a closed-bolt, rotating bolt operating design. Its 7.5 in steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a birdcage flash hider, and the upper includes an ejection port dust cover.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the manual safety, magazine release, and bolt catch/release with extended paddles. An AR-style charging handle provides familiar handling.
The aluminum KeyMod handguard integrates an underside hand stop and aligns with a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny top rail that runs with the receiver rail. Flip-up front and rear sights are included, and the pistol wears a matte black finish.
A telescoping, dual-rod brace with a rubber cuff and hook-and-loop strap supports compact carry and stable shouldering techniques as configured.
