The Mil-Spec series delivers the traditional Government-length format with a 5-inch barrel and slide in .45 ACP. This example uses a forged carbon-steel frame and slide with a durable Parkerized finish, paired with a stainless steel barrel. The frame is marked "SI GENESEO IL USA," and the pistol carries Springfield Armory's crossed-cannons crest rollmark, along with an NM-prefix serial.
Controls and internals follow the GI pattern: a GI recoil system with barrel bushing and short guide rod, an arched, serrated mainspring housing, a spur hammer, and a short, solid trigger. Safety features include a single-sided thumb safety and a grip safety.
The slide is configured with rear serrations only and a lowered/flared ejection port. Sights are fixed 3-dot, with a single-dot front and a two-dot rear for a clear, uncomplicated sight picture. Full-checkered wood grip panels complete the traditional 1911 aesthetic and handling.
