A cylindrical multi-row side-ported muzzle brake is installed, and the receiver wears two-piece scope bases. The rifle is configured without iron sights and uses a top-tang sliding safety.

This A-Bolt represents the first-generation Composite Stalker configuration with a 22-inch barrel, a 60-degree three-lug bolt, and a patented cartridge depressor for smooth feeding. Capacity is 3+1, and the bottom metal uses Browning’s hinged floorplate with a detachable box magazine.
The barrel is fitted with a cylindrical multi-row side-ported muzzle brake. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently outfitted with two-piece scope bases. The rifle is set up without iron sights.
Controls include a top-tang sliding safety with a red "fire" indicator. The steel receiver has a matte finish, and the trigger guard carries the Browning Buckmark logo.
The black composite stock features molded checkering and a straight comb for a stable cheek weld. It is completed with sling swivel studs and a Browning-branded checkered buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Markings include "Made in Japan," "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q.," an NP stamp at the barrel shank, and the barrel inscription "PAT. 4723568 A-BOLT CAL. .270 WIN ONLY." This example dates to 1992, squarely within the 1990s A-Bolt era.
