The Saiga Sporter uses a stamped, dimple-less Saiga/AK-100-pattern receiver with a ribbed top cover and the classic long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. It features the rearward sporter fire-control layout. Controls include a manual safety lever on the receiver. The configuration emphasizes reliability and clean operation consistent with its lineage.
The barrel is 16.3 inches, chrome-lined, and hammer-forged. Sighting equipment consists of a front post and a tangent rear sight with a slider. The bore condition is excellent, with a clean, mirror finish and sharp rifling. The muzzle has the factory tubular sleeve pinned to the front sight base, with the actual barrel crown recessed inside; no brake or flash hider is installed.
Furniture includes a black polymer Monte Carlo stock with molded checkering and an extended sporter fore-end. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches, providing a solid shoulder fit in the sporter configuration. Sling attachment points include a loop under the fore-end and a stud at the buttstock toe.
