- 1x 8-round WWI-pattern wood-base Luger magazine (serial number does not match the pistol)
This DWM P.08 Army is a correct WWI-era example with a 1916 chamber date and German manufacture. It follows the standard Army pattern with a 4 in barrel, blued steel construction, and checkered walnut grips. The pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger and uses an 8-round magazine.
Markings are consistent with Imperial German Army issue. The chamber top is stamped 1916, the toggle carries the DWM scroll monogram, and the right side of the barrel extension shows crowned script-letter inspection stamps along with the crown-over-eagle acceptance mark. The frame recess bears the GESICHERT safety legend.
Mechanically, the design is the classic short-recoil, toggle-locked, striker-fired Luger system with a manual thumb safety. Sighting equipment is the period-correct fixed front blade paired with a V-notch integral to the rear toggle.
Numbering details align with period practice: the pistol is in the e serial block, and multiple small parts are stamped with the last two digits 30. A bore gauge mark 8,82 appears near the barrel shoulder. An included WWI-pattern wood-base magazine accompanies the pistol and is non-matching to the gun.
Made in Germany, this P.08 Army presents as a solid WWI service pistol with authentic features, military markings, and correct configuration that reflect its 1916 production and Imperial Army acceptance.
