Produced in the United States by Ranger under license to Carl Walther and distributed/marketed by Interarms (Alexandria, VA), this PPK/S bears the "Walther – Made in USA" banner and "INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA" markings. It represents the U.S. production era of the 1990s and the PP-frame/PPK-slide configuration developed to meet the 1968 GCA import requirements.
The stainless-steel slide and frame feature brushed flats with a matte, serrated anti-glare rib, complemented by rear slide serrations and an internal, pivoting extractor. The DA/SA action includes a slide-mounted safety/decocker, and the hammer uses the classic spur/ring style.
Its straight-blowback system uses a fixed 3.3 in barrel for rigidity, with a 7+1 capacity in .380 ACP. Sighting is straightforward and durable: a ramped blade front with orange/red insert pairs to a square-notch rear with matching insert for quick visual alignment.
Factory black checkered plastic grips with Walther banners complete the classic profile. This example arrives with two factory magazines — one with a finger-rest baseplate and one flat — plus the factory case, manual, and a dated test target (1-4-95) with a non-matching serial.
