The STAG-15 is a true left-handed configuration with mirror-image ejection, a dedicated left-side dust cover, and brass deflector. It uses the AR-15 platform and a flat-top A3 upper with a T-numbered MIL-STD-1913 rail for accessories. The receiver is marked STAG ARMS, New Britain, CT, USA, and it accepts STANAG-pattern detachable magazines.
The 20-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-pattern flash suppressor. A railed clamp-on gas block supports the flip-up front sight, and a flip-up rear sight is mounted on the receiver rail. The rifle runs a semi-automatic, direct impingement action in 5.56mm NATO.
