The PR-57’s magazine system is a key differentiator: a fixed internal 20-round magazine that is charged via the ejection port. Grip-heel windows and a follower protrusion provide quick visual and tactile capacity indication, and the design yields a 20+1 total capacity.
Its operating system combines a hammer-fired, single-action trigger at approximately 4.5 lb with a short-recoil, rotary-barrel lockup and a dual guide-rod recoil assembly. The 3.9 in barrel is made from 4140 steel with a 1:7 twist for 5.7x28mm.
The slide has a streamlined cylindrical profile with front and rear circumferential grasping grooves and a left-side slide stop. The enlarged top ejection/loading port supports both ejection and charging of the internal magazine.
The black polymer frame uses Kel-Tec’s Gator Grip texture and integrates an accessory rail. Fixed 3-dot iron sights. Field stripping is simplified by pressing the trigger forward to release the slide.
