Built on a Mauser 98 large-ring action, this Model 1938 long rifle features controlled-round feed and an integral charger guide for efficient stripper-clip loading. It was manufactured in 1940 and bears the ASFA ANKARA K. KALE crest with the crescent-and-star emblem, aligning it squarely with WWII-era Turkish service production.

Sighting is via iron sights: an unhooded front blade paired with a tangent rear sight featuring a sliding elevator/ladder. A three-position wing safety is fitted to the bolt shroud, consistent with the Mauser 98 system.
Construction is all-steel for the receiver and barrel with a blued finish. The barrel is marked M1938 GERMAN 8MM. An import mark from C.A.I. St. Albans, VT, is present on the rifle.
