Built on a short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position adjustable gas regulator, the Hellion is set up for reliable operation and easy tuning. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, charging handle, and magazine/bolt release, and the ejection can be reversed to either side.
The 16-inch barrel is hammer-forged from 4150 steel and Melonite treated for durability, and it is capped with an open-tine flash hider. The polymer frame and handguard keep weight centered to the rear, and the handguard features elongated accessory slots.
A full-length T-marked Picatinny top rail runs the length of the rifle and houses integrated flip-up sights: a hooded front post and a rear diopter drum. The stock is adjustable in five positions, providing a length of pull from 16.25 to 17.75 inches.
Magazine compatibility follows the STANAG/AR standard, and the grip interface accepts AR-pattern pistol grips. Markings include HS PRODUKT • MADE IN CROATIA, the Springfield Armory crossed-cannons crest, and the HS Produkt H-sword logo.
