It is built on the K-frame in blued carbon steel, with a 4 inch tapered, pinned barrel and a six-shot cylinder chambered in .38 Special. The square-butt grip profile pairs with checkered walnut Magna stocks featuring S&W medallions (non-diamond), giving it a period-correct look and feel.
The action is double-action/single-action and includes a hammer block safety. Controls and small parts include a spurred, color case-hardened hammer, a smooth-face trigger (also color case-hardened), and a checkered cylinder-release latch.
Sights are fixed, with a serrated integral ramp front and a fixed square-notch rear—durable and consistent with the service-oriented design of the Model 10-5. The revolver’s clean, sharp-rifled bore supports its well-kept condition.
