What’s Included
- Shorter 26-inch barrel
The New Englander uses a classic percussion sidelock with an external hammer and single trigger, delivering simple, reliable operation in a 1-round, muzzleloading format. It is intended for black powder or Pyrodex only.
The 28-inch blued barrel is threaded for screw-in chokes and wears a brass bead front sight with no rear sight, keeping the sight picture fast and uncluttered. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches for comfortable shouldering.
Stocked in hardwood with a straight-grip profile and steel buttplate, the gun features a half-stock, short wooden fore-end that stops well short of the muzzle. An under-rib with two ramrod thimbles runs to the muzzle, supporting traditional field use and loading.
The hooked-breech, wedge-retained barrel system aids disassembly and maintenance. As with many New Englanders, barrels are serialized separately, so installed and spare barrels may carry different serial numbers.
Made in Rochester, New Hampshire, USA, this example comes with one additional 26-inch 12-gauge barrel.
