This Hawken-pattern carbine pairs traditional sidelock operation with practical upgrades. Its 21-inch octagonal barrel with a chamfered crown and under-rib keeps the package maneuverable while retaining the classic look. A single transverse barrel wedge with oval escutcheons secures the barrel to the half-stock.
The percussion system uses a snail-style bolster with a threaded nipple and an external hammer with a curved, serrated thumb spur for positive control. Double-set triggers provide a crisp, tunable release suited to precise shooting. Capacity is single-shot.
Upgraded sights enhance alignment and visibility: a red fiber-optic front bead and an adjustable open rear with twin green fiber-optic elements. These upgraded sights are easy to reference while maintaining a period-appropriate profile.
