Produced circa 1982–1989 in Japan, the Model 92 was Weatherby’s pump-action companion to the Model 82. The receiver is rollmarked "Weatherby NINETY—TWO" and presents a semi-humpback profile. Factory decorative scroll engraving highlights the alloy receiver, finished in matte black with right-side ejection. A proof mark is present on the barrel.
The 12 gauge barrel measures 25.5 inches and wears a ventilated rib with a single brass front bead. It is threaded for removable choke tubes, and this shotgun has an M choke installed. The chamber accepts both 2.75 inch and 3 inch shells, providing flexibility across common 12 gauge loads.
Controls include a gold-colored trigger and a distinct gold-colored slide-release lever positioned above and behind the trigger on the left side. Capacity is stated as 3 rounds.
The stock and fore-end are gloss walnut. The stock features sharp checkering, a pistol-grip cap with a white diamond inlay, and a Weatherby-branded ventilated recoil pad with a white spacer. Length of pull measures 14.25 inches.
As a Model 92 from Weatherby’s 1980s lineup, examples from this period typically display a '92-xxxxx' serial format, aligning with the noted production window and model designation.
