SIG Sauer P226 X Legion SAO 9mm, Full-Size, Legion Gray, X-RAY3 Sights, Optics-Ready, 4.4 in Barrel, 20+1 Capacity
The P226 X Legion SAO is a full-size, single-action-only variant finished in Legion Gray with an optics-ready slide and SIG X-RAY3 day/night sights. This example includes a flared magazine well funnel, ambidextrous manual safety, a flat-faced trigger, and Hogue G10 Legion chevron grips. It comes with four factory steel magazines, including one 20-round magazine for a 20+1 capacity. The case label matches the model designation and indicates U.S. manufacture.
Built on the proven P226 platform, this X Legion SAO configuration adds an extended beavertail, X-Series style trigger-guard undercut, and checkering on the frontstrap and trigger guard for confident control. The external hammer and ambidextrous manual thumb safety support the single-action-only system, while the flat-faced trigger provides a consistent, linear press.
The Legion Gray slide features front and rear cocking serrations and an optics cut with a cover plate and mounting holes. SIG X-RAY3 sights pair a high-visibility green-ring front with a square-notch rear for fast, daylight-bright index and low-light capability. The slide wears the Legion chevron emblem, and the frame integrates a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail.
Ergonomics are enhanced by textured black Hogue G10 Legion chevron grips, noted as made for the SIG P226 SAO X5. A flared magazine well funnel is installed to speed reloads. The included mix of magazines features both standard and extended baseplates; the extended-baseplate magazine may require a firm push to seat due to slight contact with the magwell funnel.
This pistol is a recent release in the X Legion series. It is made in the United States, and the factory case label matches the mfg part number 226X-9-LEGION-SAO for straightforward verification.
