The Model 700 ML uses an inline percussion-cap ignition system with a removable breech plug accessed via the receiver. It is a single-shot design with a capacity of one round, aligning with the straightforward operation expected of modern inline muzzleloaders.
Construction centers on stainless steel for both the barrel and receiver, finished in matte stainless. The 24 inch barrel is paired with a 1:28 twist rate. A barrel warning specifies the use of black powder or Pyrodex only.
Sighting equipment includes adjustable open sights, with a ramped front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Model 700 pattern mounts and is currently fitted with two-piece Weaver-style bases, matching the included scope and rings.
The black synthetic stock features a Monte Carlo comb, molded checkering for grip, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. The bolt uses a swept handle with a round knob for familiar Model 700-style manipulation.
Markings include triangular inspection/proof marks forward of the receiver ring and a 31 stamp in the same area. This muzzleloader was manufactured in the United States, with overall production of the model occurring circa 1996–2004.
