The factory "760 CARBINE" barrel marking confirms this true carbine configuration with an 18.5 in barrel. Barrel date code letters "E F G" with inspector mark are present, aligning with 1963 production in the USA.
Built on a blued steel receiver and barrel, the rifle uses Remington’s dual action bars with a rotating bolt that locks into the barrel extension. It feeds from detachable box magazines and offers a 4+1 capacity in .30-06.
The stock set is walnut, with a straight-comb buttstock and a grooved fore-end. A Pachmayr White Line recoil pad with spacer brings the length of pull to 14.0 in, and sling-swivel studs are installed for carry support.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front sight with a bead insert. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this rifle carries two-piece bases and rings with a Simmons Deerfield 3-9x40 scope mounted, providing a practical magnification range for hunting or general field use.
