It features adjustable iron sights, a full underlug, and the -6 variant’s internal key lock and frame-mounted firing pin. The bore condition is excellent, and it comes with the original box and owner’s manual.

The 686-6 configuration delivers a stainless steel L-Frame build with a 4 in barrel, six-shot fluted cylinder, and .357 Magnum chambering. It also accepts .38 Special ammunition. This example is full-size and marked with Smith & Wesson’s Springfield, Massachusetts rollmarks.
The barrel is stainless with a full underlug, integral ejector-rod shroud, and a serrated top rib. Sighting is handled by a ramp front sight with a red/orange insert and an adjustable S&W micrometer rear sight for precise alignment.
The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer. Controls include a smooth-faced trigger, a checkered cylinder release, and a checkered hammer spur. This -6 variant incorporates S&W’s internal key lock and a frame-mounted firing pin.
The revolver wears an S&W black rubber monogrip with finger grooves. Additional details include the yoke cut assembly number "490" and factory markings reading "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS."
