The SD configuration integrates an over-barrel, tucked suppressor around a ported 110 mm barrel that is tuned for subsonic performance. The result is a compact, cohesive setup with the can nested forward of the receiver and handguard. This package consists of 2 NFA items: the registered SBR and the dedicated suppressor.
The closed-bolt, semi-automatic blowback system uses a hydraulic buffer. Controls include a left-side charging handle, ambidextrous safety selector, paddle-style magazine release, and bolt catch. Capacity is 30+1 with the included factory straight 9mm magazines.
The aluminum receiver wears a matte black finish and is paired with a telescopic, non-folding two-rod stock. Length of pull is approximately 14.0 inches, and overall length is approximately 545–738 mm depending on stock position.
Mounting and sighting features include a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail, an M-LOK handguard with a short 6 o'clock rail segment, and flip-up front and rear iron sights. Markings include B&T Thun, Switzerland with the Swiss cross emblem on the receiver and B&T USA, Tampa, FL (US 2024) on the suppressor.
