The VSKA is an AKM-platform semi-automatic rifle built on a stamped steel receiver with a standard rivet layout and a ribless top cover. It uses the classic gas-operated long-stroke piston with a rotating bolt and a manual safety lever, delivering the familiar handling and reliability expected of the pattern.
Its 16.25 in 4150 chrome-moly steel barrel is threaded and fitted with an AKM slant compensator retained by a plunger/detent. Chambered in 7.62x39, the rifle has a 30+1 capacity and a durable manganese-phosphate metal finish.
The rifle wears black polymer furniture, including a fixed stock with a 14 in length of pull and a rear sling swivel, vented polymer handguards, and a checkered black polymer pistol grip. Sights are the AKM tangent rear paired with a post front on an open-ear front sight block, and the gas block includes an integral sling loop.
Factory-upgraded components include an S7 tool-steel front trunnion, bolt carrier, and feed ramp, along with a carburized 4140 bolt. Receiver markings include the VSKA model designation, "CENTURY ARMS 7.62 X 39 MM GEORGIA, VT," and S/F selector markings. Country of origin is the United States.
