The 527 action uses a Mini-Mauser controlled-round-feed system with an external claw extractor and a detachable 5-round magazine for a 5+1 capacity. It is equipped with a single-set trigger. The compact carbine format makes it easy to handle while retaining CZ's proven action design.
The 18.5 inch sporter-profile barrel is paired with a 1:9.4 twist. Barrel-mounted open sights include a ramped front post on an integral base and a rear sight positioned forward of the receiver for fast target acquisition without optics.
A key upgrade is the Boyd's At-One laminated hardwood stock. It offers tool-less, push-button adjustable length of pull, polymer grip cap and forend panels with accessory plates, a rubber buttpad, and sling swivel studs. The listed length of pull is 12.5 inches.
The receiver has integral 16 mm dovetail scope bases. CIP proof marks appear on the barrel shank and bolt body, with a CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import mark. Matching serial markings are present on the barrel and underside of the action. The CZ 527 series was discontinued in 2021, adding context for buyers who track production timelines.
