This FN Herstal Model 24/30 Venezuelan-contract large-ring Mauser 98 combines contract-marked heritage with a practical sporterized configuration. It bears the Venezuelan national crest on the receiver ring, the FN Herstal Belgium side legend, and Belgian proofs. Manufactured under the FN 98 Mauser model pattern by Venezuelan D'Armers de Guerre. The barrel and chamber carry matching serial numbers, while the bolt and stock are not original.

Built on the FN-made Mauser 98 pattern for Venezuela, this rifle displays desirable contract features, including the Venezuelan crest and clear FN Herstal Belgium markings. Belgian proof marks include ELG in a crowned oval, crowned PV with lion, B BLINDEE, and 7.0 m/m, along with star-over-letter controller stamps.
The rifle has been thoughtfully sporterized with an aftermarket wood stock featuring a Monte Carlo comb, a left-side cheekpiece, and a ventilated recoil pad with spacers. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. Iron sights were removed during the conversion, and the receiver ring and rear bridge are drilled and tapped for scope bases.
It is chambered in 7mm Mauser (7x57mm) and uses a 20-inch steel barrel. The action is the robust large-ring Mauser 98 pattern with a 5-round internal magazine and standard Mauser 98 bottom metal featuring a hinged floorplate with a front push-button/plunger latch; the guard screws secure the assembly to the receiver. The bolt is a replacement, polished in the white with a turned-down handle.
Additional upgrades include aftermarket sling hardware (rear stud in the toe line and a front swivel on the barrel band). A Redfield 2x-7x scope with rings is included detached, along with a leather sling.
