AWA 1873 Peacekeeper .45 Colt Single-Action Revolver, 7.5 in Barrel, Blued/Case-Hardened, Custom Stag-Style Grips (2000-2003)
This American Western Arms 1873 Peacekeeper is a cavalry-length, .45 Colt single-action revolver built circa 2000-2003. It features a color case-hardened frame with blued barrel and cylinder, a classic 7.5 in barrel, and aftermarket stag-style grips. Frame and grip-frame assembly numbers match (P1212/1212); the loading gate is numbered 223 (non-matching). The configuration is cavalry-length SAA-style with a later crescent ejector-rod head rather than the early 1873 bullseye type.

What’s Included
- American Western Arms 1873 Peacekeeper .45 Colt revolver
- Aftermarket stag-style two-piece grip panels (installed)
The Peacekeeper configuration stays true to the original 1873 service length with a 7.5 in barrel, six-shot fluted cylinder, and fixed sights. It uses a conventional removable base pin and a crescent-style ejector-rod head with a full-length housing for positive extraction.
The frame and hammer show color case-hardening, paired with a blued barrel, cylinder, and ejector housing. Frame and grip-frame numbers match (P1212/1212); the loading gate is 223 (non-matching), supporting parts fit within this example.
It is single-action only, in keeping with the classic design. Sights are fixed, with a tall blade up front and a topstrap groove rear for a period-correct sight picture.
Produced circa 2000-2003, the AWA Peacekeeper line was assembled in the U.S. from Italian-made parts with Armi San Marco lineage. This model is a faithful reproduction SAA-style revolver and is associated with early-2000s Colt trade-dress litigation.
