The Gen 2 frame has no finger grooves and no accessory rail, with rear-only vertical slide serrations. The grip features pebble-textured panels with checkered front and back straps, and the frame molding includes "US Pat. 4,539,889."
The 4.02-inch steel barrel uses polygonal rifling and a ferritic nitrocarburized treatment. Sights are factory fixed polymer, with a white-dot front and white-outline U-notch rear.
This example was made in Austria and imported by Glock, Inc. in Smyrna, Georgia. The frame molding shows "MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA," the importer mark is present, and proof/inspection symbols are on the barrel hood. The slide and barrel share matching serials, and the frame carries a U.S.-suffixed serial format.
It is a striker-fired design with Glock's Safe Action system, including a trigger safety tab, firing pin safety, and drop safety. Capacity is 15+1, and the magazine release is the standard left-side configuration.
