The 716i TREAD Snakebite SE uses a rifle-length gas system on a 16-inch steel, nitrided barrel threaded 5/8x24 TPI. An LMT 4-Port Regulator Brake is installed, providing a robust, tunable multi-port muzzle device. The system features dual plunger ejectors with a forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover.
An aluminum 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard offers ample mounting space, with a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny top rail. No iron sights are supplied, allowing the shooter to configure the top rail as desired.
Controls are fully modernized with an ambidextrous safety selector, ambidextrous magazine release, and an ambidextrous charging handle with enlarged latches. A flat-faced trigger is included for a consistent, straight-pull feel.
The rifle is built on aluminum receivers finished in tan, paired with black furniture for a two-tone profile. It rides on a mil-spec receiver extension with a 6-position collapsible stock, offering an approximate 12–15 inch length of pull. It accepts SR-25/LR-SR pattern .308 magazines and includes an angled foregrip/hand stop plus a vertical foregrip with deployable bipod legs.
